Shelters/rescuers, (they claim to be) They are using diffrent names now. But, they are an african-american couple.
claim to have a rescue in Rocky Mount, NC and are trying to get dogs
from all over the Eastern Seaboard. (She offered to take 14 dogs
since Monday.)
She continues to take dogs. Most are pit bulls, with some offers to
adopt Presa Canarios, Rottweilers, Dobermans, and Wolf hybrids Husky German Shepard. But, takes ALL different breeds. In
addition, she had previously posted that her roommate was looking for
a Great Dane or Great Dane mix. She also posted that she
was "desperate" for a Chihuahua and she really wanted a
Mini Pin and a Jack Russell. She claims her rescue is a pit bull
rescue, but another pit rescuer called the local Animal Control.
Animal Control's comments:
"She's been barred from taking any dogs from the shelters in her
area." He also said she has a long criminal history, has been selling
Pit Bulls on street corners for 15 or 20 dollars and has been under
investigation for dog fighting. Atlantic Rescue has now banned her,
after finding out this information. These are the breeds she has
asked for:
a. Pit Bulls
b. Rottwiellers
c. Dobermans
d. Presa Canarios
e. Chihuahuas
f. Jack Russell Terriers
g. Shar Peis
h. Min Pin
i. Great Dane (Pure Breed or Mix)
She uses the little dogs as bait! Please cross post. They are going
out of their area looking for dogs to adopt
PLEASE CROSS POST THIS AD AND LETS PUT A STOP TO THIS AT ONCE. THESE POOR DOGS ARE BEING PUT THROUGH HORRIFIC CONDITIONS AND EVEN DEATH!

"Pit Bull is a term used to describe several breeds of dogs with similar physical characteristics. The American Pit Bull Terrier and the American Staffordshire Terrier commonly fall under the category of "pit bull." There are several other breeds that can fall under the category of pit bull, including: the Argentine Dogo, the English Bull Terrier, the American Bulldog, and the Perro de Presa Canario. These breeds are usually not included by breed name in any Breed Specific Legislation (see below), but are usually included because of a broad definition and confusion as to what a pit bull actually is. All of these breeds as well as many others (including Great Danes, Newfoundlands and Rottweilers) are members of the Molosser family of dog breeds."
How in the world can people ban a dog that isn't a real breed?

We NEED to help pits and soon.......

Pits are great dogs I have owned one myself. People are dumb and horrible for fighting them. That isn't far for the dogs at all. I love pits they are very sweet and loving. Now the dogs that people fight may be other dog aggressive but most aren't people aggressive. If I ever saw some one that had fighting pits and fought them I would punch them square in there face.
So help me and many other people in the fight to save the pit bulls.....
